“And how do you know that you're mad? "To begin with," said the Cat, "a dog's not mad. You grant that?" I suppose so, said Alice. "Well then," the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags it's tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
Session with Carol was to repeat the tonic water shoot with Robin in New York, but with better control in my studio over a shower in a hotel room with a black cloth trying to keep out the light.
A secondary concept is to give Carol three middle fingers. She is always making hand gestures and funny faces, so I felt it appropriate to give her "Reading Between the Lines".
Carol always looks cute in hats. I ahve had a fake leather "Mexican" cowboy hat in the studio that Felix Burgos gave me as a sarcastic play towards the Akubra's I love to wear. I did try to get Greyson Massimo to wear it once, but he literally cried and through a hissy fit. Yes, he was about a year old, but still!
