I went to London for a BPC design session with the NBC TV team to upgrade their BPC 7.5MS applications to a BPC 10.1 HANA model. This trip was like my "old days" of consultin before working at Deloitte. I had the evenings to go out for dinner and then explore with my camera. This has not happened since 2011. What a great change.
I have always enjoyed London. This is probably my 7th trip to London. Te old architecture is stunnin. And, for the new office skyscrapers, the architects are very creative and their buildings are amazing.
For this trip, I pursued street photography on weekends, nights were for abstracts in light. The first week I explored with my boss Richard Winter. His wife joined him the beginning of the second week at which point I began carrying the tripod where I could spend hours shooting if needed. The longest of this type of shooting was atop the NBC biulding where I had a 270 degree view of London from the Finance district, along the Thames out to Heathrow. I spent four hours here shooting several panaramas from before sunset through to total darkness.Unlike my experience in the US, the security said hi, we talked for a moment and he ended with if I ned assistance to call the security office on the 3rd floor. No issues, challenges, private property, etc. I had my badge and that was all that was needed.
