Architecture has always been special to me. My uncle, William Lusby, was an architect in San Pedro. I enjoyed going to his office and seeing what he was creating. In the 7th grade I took industrial drawing as I was even contemplating becoming an architect. But, math was not my strong point and science was far easier to me grasp.

Math aside, I still love buildings. Gothic architecture, Victorians, the San Francisco row houses, even buildings in ruins. This list can continue through the centuries to today. This is why my home which was moved 37miles from Pasadena to San Pedro in 1988 was undertaken. This project started in 1987 with the acquisition of the house and remains a work in progress to this day. The house is my statue that also provides my family’s shelter with landscaping that contributes props for my photography.
